Our ten year old usually loses interest in things by week three. Not this one. He's gone from random scribbles to making little frames for his Lego figures and now he's working on a tiny dinosaur skeleton, which has taken him about two weeks of after-school sessions. Filament refills are easy to find online which was my main worry before buying.
Best gift we've given him. Auto-off is the kicker.
Nine year old, school holidays, rain. Kept him busy for hours and he made a little T-rex skeleton on day one. Low temp tip means I don't have to hover.
Pen is well made but there's a real learning curve to making something recognisable. First hour was frustrating for our son. Once he got it he hasn't put it down.
She watched a hundred 3D pen videos before we caved. I was bracing for a letdown. Actually works as well as the videos showed. Refills feed smoothly, speed control useful for a beginner.
